It's understandable if you haven't seen the light yet.
Don't worry though. Dawnglare is doing her best.
This Invoker in particular has been a pet card of mine ever since I won a couple drafts with it during Rise of the Eldrazi.
Lady Dawnglare is a tempo All-Star, and is especially fond of the late game when your battle scars are starting to show and your weaknesses are exposed.
Obviously, she's not going to win any races with her P and T, but flying certainly makes her a better equipment target than your Eternal Witness, who's been waiting to turn sideways since it came into play.
Tapping down your opponent's creatures, even for a turn is usually a pretty big play. Over the years that I've been playing her, she's won me several games when I've gotten into topdeck mode.
Currently, I have a copy of her in my Chorus of the Conclave EDH, which is perhaps the ideal place for her. This is because I have to generate enough mana to try and play Chorus, mostly. However, getting to put +1/+1 counters on the Invoker also allows her even more creative space to become a legitimate threat in a typical Magical-Christmas-Land game where I'm actually winning with Chorus and not just trying to play 9/9 Sakura-Tribe Elders for fun.
The 1 toughness, in other decks, can be a concern, but like I said before- you're not trying to beat people down with her. She's just lighting the way for your other dudes to get through.
On the flip side, her ability requires no taps, meaning it supercedes summoning sickness (say that 5 times fast) and you can do it on your opponent's turn, before they declare attackers, creating a cycle of "Tap, Beat, Repeat" that leads you to the red ribbon at the end of your EDH marathon.
Dawnglare Invoker. She's pretty, she flies, she taps down your opponent's dudes, and is just soo much better than her other Invoker friends. So play her.
Passin' it up.
